WILSON KUNAKA

Chairperson

Wilson is a Consultant Contract Administration and Commercial Management professional based in the United Kingdom, working for Amey’s Highways England Area 7 Maintenance and Response (M&R) Contract in the UK. Wilson is also a Director at Sekiwa Commercial Management Ltd and serves as the Chairperson of the ZiDCEP Steering Committee and has been part of the association from its inception in November 2018. Wilson has over 28 years’ multi-sector experience working for major contractors in Zimbabwe, Botswana and the United Kingdom on major flagship projects like the Harare International Airport in Zimbabwe and the Metronet Rail BCV Track Renewal Programme for LUL in England. Wilson is a holder of a Diploma in Quantity Surveying. Wilson has been involved in both personal and group initiatives to drive awareness and encourage behavioural change and attitude towards diversity equity and inclusion. He is passionate about mental health in the workplace and actively involved in fundraising initiatives for dementia.

TIMOTHY BIZABANI

Secretary

Timothy is a contract administration and commercial management professional based in the United Kingdom, and currently working on a major ‘smart’ motorway infrastructure project in England. He is also serving the role of Secretary of the ZiDCEP Steering Committee and has been part of the association from its inception in November 2018. Timothy has over 20 years’ multi-sector experience working for major contractors in Zimbabwe, Australia and the United Kingdom on major flagship projects like the Harare International Airport in Zimbabwe and the Heathrow Energy Centre in England. Timothy is a holder of a Diploma in Surveying in Quantity Surveying from the University College of Estate Management and is currently pursuing an MBA in Construction & Real Estate with the same university. A passionate believer and supporter of sustainable development in the built environment, Timothy has been involved in both personal and group initiatives to drive awareness and encourage behavioural change and attitude towards sustainability.

REBECCA MAMHENDE

Treasurer

Rebecca Nyasha Mamhende-Gore, known as Becca, currently works for ChandlerKBS as a Capital Allowances Consultant doing assessments for mainly water companies. Rebecca is qualified with two Master of Science degrees in Accountancy & Finance, and Quantity Surveying. She has also completed all stages of her ACCA professional qualification and is working towards chartership with the RICS. Following her move to the United Kingdom from her native Zimbabwe, Rebecca has worked for several prominent UK companies at various levels, including part-time roles in the NHS for 10 years, before making a career change into the construction industry. Rebecca started in the construction industry as a Trainee at BAM Construction in Aylesbury and later joined Galliford Try as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor on the housing division (now part of the Vistry Group). From there, she moved to her current role with ChandlerKBS.  Rebecca is a religious individual who loves to travel and has dedicated her time to performing dual roles of Treasurer and Events Co-ordinator of ZiDCEP.

PERCY HWENJE

Committee Member

Percy Hwenje is a seasoned professional with experience spanning over fifteen years in infrastructure and build environment. Percy currently works for Faithful+Gould as an Associate/Managing Surveyor in a team providing independent cost consultancy (ICC) services for a key client in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Percy has previously worked on both contracting and consulting sides in the UK and Africa. He has held senior commercial role in Kier Group delivering Highways England Asset Maintenance Framework Contract, having also worked for Costain, BAM Nuttall and other UK Tier 1 Contractors delivering strategic projects for major Clients such as MoD, Thames Water, Heathrow Airport, Environment Agency. Percy is Chartered Surveyor (MRICS and MCInstCES), holds an MBA in Construction & Real Estate and Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management from University of Reading. He specialises in contract management, commercial management, project controls, risk and cost management. As a risk management advocate, Percy is always following trends in risk management practice to keep abreast of key tools and techniques to help individuals and teams effectively manage risk at both project and programme level. Percy enjoys reading, regular exercises and loves kicking the ball whenever time permits. Percy’s dream is to inspire and mentor next generation of young construction professionals within ZiDCEP group and its affiliates to help transform Zimbabwe nation and African continent.

KUDA KADUNGURE

Committee Member

Kuda Kadungure is a senior procurement expert specialising in major construction projects. He has 20years’ experience in the construction industry and has led negotiations on complex construction contracts, concession and framework agreements. He has considerable experience in business analysis, process re-engineering, digital transformation and implementing procurement and contract management processes. Kuda holds an MBA from Warwick Business School in the United Kingdom and is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

BRENDER DEKA

Committee Member

A qualified Quantity Surveyor with a lot of projects under her belt. Bren has extensive experience, working with various demanding stakeholders in the commercial, educational, railway and domestic sectors in the UK. With more than 14years experience in her combined expertise, Bren has along the way mastered the art of Project Management and Facilities Management, owing to her work in some large reputable organisations in the UK, which include Alfred McAlpines, The Co-operative Group, WYG Engineering, Balfour Beatty, SPIE UK and Lorne Stewart.

OPHIOUS CHIWESHENGA

Committee Member

Ophious is a certified 'Managing Successful Programmes' (MSP) Practitioner  with extensive project control experience on projects in the Aviation, Rail, Nuclear, Utilities and Security Sectors. With a bias for an inclusive approach to project delivery, his capabilities have been crucial on projects to ensure that lean project control systems are developed and used to inform decision-making at appropriate levels, at the right time.
