Who We Are

ZiDCEP is a transformative global community of built‑environment professionals with strong links to Zimbabwe. We are a member-centred network that brings together architects, engineers, planners, and construction leaders committed to professional excellence across the diaspora.

Since our founding in 2018, ZiDCEP has consistently supported the diaspora community through structured development, mentorship, and collective knowledge‑sharing. We nurture future talent and champion the visibility of our members, ensuring that every professional is better capable, visible, and connected.

Mission

About Us

Established in November 2018, Zimbabwe Diaspora Construction & Engineering Professionals (ZiDCEP) is a network built on the belief that there is power and impact in numbers. We emerged from a pursuit to inspire the next generation, support our community, and ensure our collective actions speak louder than words. We are an organisation driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of mutual support.

As a network of construction and engineering professionals of Zimbabwean origin, we are united by a shared purpose to collaboratively advance our interests across three core pillars:

  • Professional Learning & Development: We are committed to mentoring, coaching, and supporting new and emerging talents within the diaspora community. Our reach extends to higher education institutions in Zimbabwe, ensuring that the next generation of engineers and builders has the guidance they need to excel.

  • Career Progression & CPD: We actively encourage continuous professional development (CPD) and career advancement. By fostering knowledge-sharing and encouraging affiliation with relevant professional bodies, we help our members stay at the forefront of industry standards and innovation.

  • Collaborative Networking: Central to our mission is the creation of an inspiring, progressive network. We aim to build mutually beneficial relationships that serve our individual members, the association, the communities we live in, and our country of origin, Zimbabwe.
