We recognise that there is power and impact in numbers. Zimbabwe Diaspora Construction & Engineering Professionals (ZiDCEP) emerged out of a pursuit to inspire the next generation and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in November 2018, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support.

We are a network of construction and engineering professionals of Zimbabwean origin with a shared purpose to collaboratively advance our mutual interests in:

  • Professional Learning & Development – mentoring, coaching and supporting new and emerging talents within the diaspora community and extending to higher education institutions in Zimbabwe;

  • Career Progression & Continuous Professional Development – encouraging and supporting professional development through knowledge-sharing and affiliation with the relevant professional bodies;

  • Investments and Opportunities – utilising our professional skills and experience to venture into identified and targeted business investments and/or opportunities in Africa and selected target markets; and

  • Consultancy Services – professional support of projects in construction and engineering through engagement and collaboration in target markets.

Central to all these aspirations is a desire to create an inspiring and progressive network that aims to create a mutually beneficial relationship for individual members, the association, communities we live in and our country of origin, Zimbabwe.

These activities will be delivered through ‘Special Interest Groups’ under the overall leadership and management of ZiDCEP.

OUR VISION

To create a global network of construction and engineering professionals of Zimbabwean origin where our members share their knowledge and skills whilst building the capacity to explore opportunities for growth and development.
